Better Place is glad to announce the opening of the Kildebjerg Battery Switch Station in Denmark, which is part of our Green eMotion project. Last Friday the Danish Minister of Transport drove with a Fluence ZE more than 50km from Copenhagen to the new battery switch station (BSS).
The BSS is located on the key highway connecting East and West of Denmark, not far from Odense. In the inauguration ceremony the Minister cut the ribbon and performed the first official switch.
As part of the Green eMotion charging demos Better Place has now started up on the operation of the first on high way battery switch station in the world, at one of the nodal points with the highest traffic density linking the three largest cities in Denmark. The battery switch twin station has been deployed in 4 months and performed safety, operations and stability swap tests which will be described as part of the demonstration.
